Love Letters I’ll Never Send

Acrylic on Canvas
24” x 36”

This piece is a visual meditation on the quiet weight of words left unsaid. Unspoken is paired with a collection of anonymous love letters—gathered from strangers and friends—that were never sent. These letters, addressed to past selves, lovers, parents, lost companions, and even pets, hold the tenderness and ache of unresolved emotion.

By handwriting each letter and embedding its sentiment into the painting, I immersed myself in the collective vulnerability of others. The process became a collaborative emotional archive—an intimate act of holding space for voices that never found their way out loud.

Layered with symbolic objects and unanswered phone calls, the painting captures the bittersweet tension between holding on and letting go. It is a quiet offering for release—a space where viewers might find permission to grieve, to reflect, and ultimately, to move forward.
